Running Eibach sportlines on stock struts and they handle amazing. Its all in the install. These struts work well a little deeper in the stroke.

RCEs on stock struts, no problem here. Didn't use an impact at any point of the dis-assembly or assembly process. I ended up using a t-handle allen and a spark plug tool with a open ended wrench that fit the spark plug tool.

Basically all lowering springs are designed for OEM dampers.
Sure, OEM dampers with 80k may not like the increased rates, but new dampers (all of these cars currently) will be just fine.

I've seen it before and typically on springs like the Sportlines that lower a car a large amount.
As for using and impact for installation, as long as the shaft is held there should be no issues. Tony |

I'd agree with that but that's like saying don't track your car because wheel bearings won't last as long.

I ran the sportlines for thousands of miles and my dampers are still just fine. I'd have no problem running them for tens of thousands if only Sebring's Turn 1 and 17 were smoother.. need higher rates to lower the car at all to avoid bumpstops

Brought it to the garage last night and the other strut was leaking.. so both my rears are done and need to be replaced.. going back to stock height in the meantime until I get coilovers..
Hopefully my front ones don't go before putting the stock springs back on.. |

If you used an impact gun during the installation I'm 99.9% sure the internals of the shock came disassembled. There are quite a few people this has happened to. |

Most shock manufacturers suggest replacing them around every 50k miles (80k km's), they'll easily last that long on sane lowering springs (ie not a 3" drop with stupidly high rates). Might not last as long as stock, but that's the same as stickier tires, oil, gas, etc when driving a car hard.
