I pushed like a woman who had been in labor for 3 days.
did terrible today but it wasn't completely the car. Tomorrow is what matters though. I even had the rear 2psi higher

so......whiteline vs. hotchkis vs strano?
Seems like strano bar is good for stock class, but if I plan on going to STX in a few years, seems like whiteline is good since it comes with adjustable end links which will be needed when I lower the car. oh and 20mm vs 22mm?? so many variations!!! Last edited by Aznsky; 01-13-2013 at 12:04 AM. |

I had a much better day today. Stagger the rear pressure 4.5psi higher than front and that allowed a more neutral feeling but it still will push at the limit.
This bar would be better for a RComp car than street tire, I don't run enough tire for this bar. Placed 2nd against a National winner in someone else's ill-prepared Z06, lost the index to him by .4 Thing rocketed down the one straight we had!

I admit to not having read the entire thread...
I know it's taken a while for me to get this bar mess straightened out. And I sort of bowed to some pressure to get it out to some folks who were really on me. I should have just gone slower but as I'm sure many of you saw in the photo's on the other thread we have the length issue licked. On more bar done on another run is going out to a CA customer to make sure there is no issue there and then 18 more will be bent immediately after we confirm no issue. Anyway, onto the sizing and all that jazz. I sell Eibach, I sell Hotchkis. I sell Whiteline, so if either you can't wait for my bar any more (I'm trying) or need something in the interim, PLEASE CALL ME. I early on felt 1" was too big with a stock rear bar or with about equal spring rates. Remember I traded a 2012 GTI which I really liked for this car which I never drove for the express purpose of actively figuring this stuff out. And more specifically for autocrossers because we have more specific needs and can't get away with some of the hare-brained crap that the general public might use. I went 22mm hollow. I tweaked the wall thickness once and stuck with the size. I think it's right for both CS cars for the combination of balance and help with roll stiffness we want. And for those in STX well I know I'm running the bar with a front stiffer setup (most run the opposite) and the car is not pushy (and I'm running less camber than many of you probably will as it's primarily my street car). |

Terry Tabor,i was 2nd in class (RT classes get Eff-ed in PAX, use same multiplier as stock using A6s, so I'll never place well on paper in PAX). Vette had 340tw tires so he was at a disadvantage but the driver... I'm just not quite that good yet haha.

But damn straight-aways made the difference. Without having one, I could have won I feel, even with my inferior skill Evo school for me up in Dixie; I'm hoping that helps!

And who says you need links when you lower the car? My car is lowered with stock links. But not for nothin', but links are gettable without having to buy the heavier solid bar. |
