I don't get this thing about loving knives. I have a couple knives, and I barely use them. Don't walk around with them. Don't need them much at all. 99% of the time when I'd use a knife, scissors are more handy. Guns are more fun, but I hate the NRA and I won't buy a gun again until I can get a smart gun. Also, in reality, guns are pretty useless.

I have an OTF Microtech collection. IDK, everyone likes different stuff.

press up the blade goes out, press down and the blade retracts. So cool!

Damascus blades are made from different types of steel to create the layers of dark and light metals. The types of steel used are what has caused rust on your blades. Not all damascus blades are made with the same metal alloys. some are more rust resistant. It sucks yours has rusted.

Yes. But, I have made poor decisions in the past on what to do with my money. Microtech makes machine guns now. Florida company.

I knew a guy at the company that would sell them to me at wholesale. Still over $300 each...

What do they mean "automatic" knives? If that means what I think they would be as illegal as hell here. I mean jail time if caught with one level illegal.

Yes! The laws have been changing though. Auto assisted knives make the cut. All types of knives are legal to own. Most types of knives are legal to carry. But the wording is contradictory for auto's, it says:

Restrictions on Carry
It is illegal to conceal carry a dirk, dagger, or any stabbing knife
It is illegal to conceal carry a Balisong, or butterfly knife
It is illegal to conceal carry a gravity knife
It is illegal to conceal carry any knife with a blade that projects or swings into position by force of a spring or by centrifugal force (swinging the knife around)
It is legal to conceal carry a pocketknife
It is legal to conceal carry a switchblade
It is legal to open carry any type of knife

What? So, I stopped carrying them and got a CHL. Cause you can own silencers and full autos in this state too.

Ah nice contradicting laws!
Our's is much clearer. You simply can not have them at all.

The Canadian Criminal Code criminalizes the possession of knives which open automatically. Section 84(1) defines "a knife that has a blade that opens automatically by gravity or centrifugal force or by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device attached to or in the handle of the knife" as a prohibited weapon.
If a person is found in unauthorized possession of a prohibited knife by any law enforcement officer, the person is liable to a maximum of 5 years in jail and the weapon being seized. The Crown can then apply to a Provincial Court judge for the weapon to be forfeited and destroyed. The import and export of prohibited weapons is also strictly regulated and enforced by the Canada Border Services Agency.[14]
Examples of prohibited knives include:
  • any knife, including a switchblade, or butterfly knife with a blade that opens automatically by gravity or centrifugal force or by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device in or attached to the handle of the knife;
  • Constant Companion (belt-buckle knife);
  • finger rings with blades or other sharp objects projecting from the surface;
  • push daggers.[13][15

Laws have to be confusing and contridicting. Otherwise there would be no money in enforcement. We can't just have easy to understand and follow laws. The prison industry would go bankrupt.
