Random oddball q. Are the BRZ & FR-S front bumpers swappable? B/c I'm starting to really like the frs front bumper looks way better.

Short answer: Yes, mostly.

Long answer: There's a thread somewhere if you feel like doing some digging where a FR-S front bumper cover was installed on a BRZ. The only thing that had to be done was put a small insert into the inner "point" of the headlight cutout, as the FR-S headlights are slightly pointier than the BRZ headlights.

Yeah that sucker isn't complete & he's already out of room. No place for intake filters at all. So he's going to run unfiltered air into a bared compression wheel?

I made so many jokes about doing sequential turbos.... lol. And now someone goes and does a twin setup.

I actually did this many years ago... put like 10k on a turbo setup with a mesh. Meh. No I wouldn't recommend it... but... haha The best part was everyone always said "What if it rains"... Nothing... nothing happens. lol

Also I see a ton of room for intakes.

There is a perfectly good piece of metal to cut through right there... And no I am not kidding. Just weld in a pipe for reinforcement if you are worried about strength post-cut. You can also 3d print / inject an odd shaped intake to push them more forward and get them behind the fake brake vents / fog whole.

If you think about it he is keeping the boxer idea in place, low mount turbo... low center of gravity... symmetrical weight. HAHA!

Very true. But... there's still the problem of doing a sequential twin turbo.

But kudos for him doing it anyway.

I'll be interested to see the first person to take the new 2015 WRX's FA20DIT, remove top-mount, put FA20 intake headers on it, move the turb for front-mount and put it in an 86. Probably not at all worth doing compared to just putting in lower compression pistons in the FA20 and running one of the available turbo kits, but hey...

I say go for it, if its built strong enough it'll work. I just don't know how well our aluminum blocks and heads will hold up. I'm looking forward to seeing what will happen.

Also I would like to start the bidding at five dollars.

And I sort of like the STI-like wing that's available everywhere except the US for the GT86... sort of.

I like the look, but not the boldness. But there is something about the optional GT86 wing over the spoiler-only option we've got here in the US.

One has to wonder why the Scion got the short shaft on options when the GT86 basically has all the interior and exterior niceties the BRZ has (as options), yet the FR-S has absolutely none of them. Options are good things. Why deny the FR-S even the availability?

I'll have to wait till January.

The body shop said that I should not have the new bumper waxed, polished, or sealed and to also hand-wash only for 30 days to let the paint degas. That was on the 27th.

I should have them do the new car prep package, right?
