I havn't tried it though, but it has a good rating so I'm sure it works well

With the DI seal failures being reported, and a track day coming up in a few weeks I downloaded the knock detector. A good pull in third picked up 11 out of 27 "possible detonations" occuring between 46 and 76 mph. It says the correlation is -.5(whatever that means).

Either My car is going to fail massively any time now, or these are false positives.

It would be nice to find out the knock correction PID, but it won't be easy to monitor for.

Does Torque pro calculates the time from the OBD2 or the gps?

It will usually connect to the radio just fine, but I've had issues with that from time to time as well.
Sorry for the late reply.

I have a 4.08 version. It's an old droid phone I got from a friend of mine that I'm using just for torque.

He has a 4.2.2 and had the same issue.

I've heard from a friend that he un-installed the torque and re-installed and it seemed to resolve it for him. I'm puzzled since I wasn't even going as far as turning the torque on, just trying to connect the Bluetooth first before I go futther (turning on torque). I heard that the excess data stored by torque may be the culprit (???). And uninstalling it gets rid of the memory to refresh it!!!

I will try that to see if that works...

You can choose either method. I have it set to OBD2.

I was wandering in which protocol are you connecting when you use torque with the bluetooth adapter?

I am using an usb type(obdlink sx 2.0) and I am not able to access the oil temp, at least the value is always fluctuating(-40 to 215) and the communication or the adapter is frosting all the time.

I did try all the setting possible, slowing the comm speed, ... The only thing now that I am wandering is does the adapter I have connect in an other protocol compare to the bluetooth adapter that most poeple seem to use.

I thought I would share my current in-car tablet setup. I'm using a Nexus 7 with the [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BR3Q9TK/"]iOttie Easy Smart Tap Dashboard Car Holder[/ame]. Initially I had tried a [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C31MF0W/"]cd-slot holder[/ame] and a [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004VG6LDE/"]different dash holder[/ame] but they were too wobly and didn't properly mount to a curved dash, respectively. The iOttie is overall pretty nice as it's very flexible in terms of where you can mount it. It also allows for easy release of your tablet if you want to take it out. It was really designed for the iPad mini but comes with an adapter (see pics below) for smaller tablets. It will NOT fit larger tablets than the iPad mini.

The first pic below almost represents my (drivers) vantage point. For me it was important that the mount/tablet did the following:
  1. Not block my view of the road in anyway
  2. Allow me to still see/use the radio
  3. Not completely block the air vents
I think the iOttie w/ a Nexus 7 does all of this!

Overall I think its a pretty clean install, other than the foam piece. I used that piece to somewhat "dampen" vibrations/bumps but I may change this out to something cleaner. Also note that suction/adhesive pad really sticks. I've been using it about a week now without any signs of it coming off in heat/bumps/etc.

Anybody else having issues with the A/F ratio not reading high/low enough and if so, how were you able to fix it? Mines only goes to 14 and highest it would go is 21.

It should read as low as 12.1

If you want to read lower you need a wideband 02 sensor.

Just started trying this app. My Afr drops to 11.63 at wot and stays there. Also my idle is reading 14.05...shouldn't it be 14.7? Not sure what's going on

I have the aFe intake and my intake temperatures are usually around 10-15 degrees above ambient at speed and probably around 30 degrees above ambient at idle if I remember correctly. I'll let you know what my maf sensor reading is after I take a drive. Obviously they'll be different than the readings with a stock intake though.

Do you have a tune, or are you running a stock ECU?
