Question....
What if I just washed my car and a few hours later the neighbors sprinklers left water spots on one side of her? Can I just hose that side down and carefully dry her with a very clean Microfiber drying towel? I don't need to wash her all over again do I?

waka waka
You may be able to use some quick detailer on it. Having a quality sealant and wax on the car helps when its time to clean off those spots too.

Forget the two bucket method and grit guards. Google Garry Deans wash method and see how to do a single bucket wash where the wash media never re-enters the wash water and contaminates it. So simple and 100% effective.

If you are not doing rinseless and waterless washing then you are living in the past. All of the major players are marketing eco friendly wash media and the reason is 1.it works and 2. the demand from the consumer. Using two buckets , grit guards , wash mitt, dragging out the hose and nozzle is a waste of "Time" and "Money" IMO. Unless the car or truck is extremely filthy this is the trend of the future. More and more of my customers are asking for this service and mobil detailers are offering this service in most locations. Proper technique is of the utmost importance in acheiving a defect free finish.
For rinseless washes ONR and the new ONR+W are the best sellers hands down. Optimum got a jump on the field when it introduced ONR. Other producers such as Chemical Guys, Meguiars 3D etc are quickly catching up.

PS: I'm not trying to sell or market a product. I just detail cars and enjoy what I do plus share with others what I have learned what works for me over the years. We live in a quickly changing world and it can pass you by in a heartbeat it you don't adapt.

Exactly, just another marketing scheme to spend more money.

Thanks, you exactly represented my point.

Maybe some people want to keep it simple instead of buying re-labled products from other chemical producers.

To me, rinse less washing is more complex. Re-labeled products? Well, just don't buy the shit at autozone, that stuff is crap 99% of the time anyways.

Detailers Domain has tons of good stuff. Personally I've started to get into Ammo products.

rinse less washing is only good for the small washes, took your car for a drive and need to get some small grime off? Okay, hit it with a good microfiber towel and some spray wax. Done!

I don't know how people judge to wash their cars, when my car is dirty, ITS DIRTY and i wash it all the way. I don't wax every time but i know that when i use my 3 bucket method, foam gun and wool mit that i get every piece of dirty off that car.

I don't find it to work for my washing style, that's it.

I also think its a bit of a marketing thing that doesn't work as well as advertised.

Waterless washing equals scratches, there is no way you can just spray on a product and wipe away the grime, using water and 2 bucket method etc ensures that the body is constantly lubricated.

Even when I use ONR, I use the two bucket method. As someone else mentioned, I don't use it for a full wash either. Its a great maintenance wash solution though. I feel that it doesn't lubricate as well as an actual shampoo do to safely remove larger particles. But ONR still has a place on my wash supply shelf.
