I drive local and the highway. In horrible traffic everyday. Driving a stick is easy been doing it since I was 16. I'm 36 now and have no intentions of getting an automatic car. To boring

Not to advocate texting and driving, but didn't NHTSA or something just release data that showed texting/distracted driving accounted for a very small sliver of traffic accidents/deaths?
That depends on how you define "very small sliver".

Quote:
According to the NHTSA, more than 3,300 people were killed in 2011 and 387,000 were injured in crashes involving a distracted driver.

My brother died from an idiot like you on your cell phone.

I wish it was a $1200 dollar fine and moving violation.

Proven fact you are more dangerous than a drunk.

I like how this thread moved from auto < manual, to "fuck you if you text and drive!".

even using "bluetooth" is dangerous because you are concentrating on your
conversation, and NOT on your driving. the "real" issue is not if one doesn't give a flying f**k,
about his own safety, and texts, talks, and drives,it's because doing this activity affects others "safety"
on the road, and creates a lot of animosity
