These things prolly weigh in the grams to real low pounds. The boxes they came in were a lot heavier than the actual pieces. The size has more to do with the shipping where these are concerned.

I think you would be real pressed to fab something of OEM quality with all of the different shapes/bends that these pieces have and have them weigh less.

It's only $1k if you ship a full set of FOUR, otherwise you only need one, which is about $300 shipped. That's the price to beat, and I, too, would prefer non-plastic material. Alaska beats on the undercarriage somethin' fierce.

One panel? I thought there were 2 large central panels and 2 smaller rear panels?

It's $320 for ALL the panels for ONE car. If you're looking on Japanparts, they give two prices: 1) for a group buy of 4 SETS for 4 cars (expensive) or 2) a single SET for a single car (less expensive).

It's okay, @switchlanez was confused at first, too. haha

Okay that sounds more reasonable then. So 250 a set if you buy 4 sets.

A bit more because of shipping. You save about $15 each after shipping, last I calculated a few months ago. If you and 3 other trusted friends can work that out, then it's nice, but might not be worth it if you spend too much time trying to round up people to get in on the deal. That's why most people just purchase solo. If it saved $35-$50 each for the group buy, THEN I'd try getting more people in on it.

How many additional areas are missing from JDM under cover panel?
Thanks.

How many additional areas are missing from JPM under cover panel?

Not sure what JPM is, but compared to the carbing listing you linked, only one missing is the diff and exhaust cover, but I personally wouldn't want a diff cover.

I personally wanted to do something similar to the TRD covers in the middle, but only the one that is circled. If you look closely, they are using the OEM underpanels, plus there custom stuff.

I wrestled with those clips for such a long time with a flat head. When I had two left that weren't coming out, I used pliers which made this so much easier.

Sorry my bad. It should be“ JDM”.
Actually, I notice that carbing have one additional cover in the center of the car.
Please refer to the attachment as below.
What’s advantages and disadvantages between
1. JDM under cover
2. Carbing ( small partially center cover)
3. TRD (full center cover)

By the way, you mention that you do not like diff and exhaust cover.
What’s reason for that? Any advantages and disadvantages for these two covers.
Thanks.

The center and diff covers would most likely increase temps on important parts like the diff and tranny, which could cause issues. The main benefit would be to smooth out the air and create less drag

Thanks for sharing; I was getting ready to buy the Harbor Freight jack stands this weekend.

Can you tell me which brand/model of jackstands you got from Autozone? I took a look at their website and they have several blue models.
