Who here has LEDs in their fogs/DRLs in their GT?

Hey guys

A few of us are trying to work out what exact bulb goes into the GT fogs. We know it's the P13W, but a few that have been tried don't fit.

I've seen one guy on here with either a grey or black GT who has managed to fit some LEDs into his fogs. Could someone lead me into the right direction?

I've tried searching, but it's really not being helpful.

Thanks

If you are in Australia, make contact with Mark at streetfxxx@gmail.com, he has full HID and LED DRL upgrades for both GT and GTS models.

Not sure if there has been change in the type of globe installed from factory, as I was told to use P13w for the standard and the 5202 for the high spec, however when I pulled the globe out I had 5202.

Just received mine and looks awesome.

Hope this helps.

Haha Yeah man i've already spoken to mark :p this is kind of on behalf of him, as we know there's someone out there that has found LEDs that fit perfectly in the GT.

The GT uses the P13W, but the ones that you buy off the shelf (off ebay, etc) don't fit the GT exactly. They're either too big, or too small, etc.

Any updates on this?

What about fitting HIDs as DRLs in the GT?

I managed to find some that "kind of" fit. I bought P13W LED bulbs off eBay. They don't slot into the housing properly, so I taped it in :P.

I can't see that working. The housing requires a P13W type bulb. We have narrowed the issue down to how all the LED P13W bulbs are made. It's the little rubber/plastic neck just below the LED itself that makes it unable to screw into the housing properly.

The best option is to just convert the entire housing and bulb into the Subaru type fog light and have it running off a new circuit, or just tape in/force secure in the P13W LED Bulbs (which I have done).

Does that apply to just LED's or HID's as well?

I can't seem to find a HID kit for the P13W style bulb. If there is a P13W style bulb, the HID kit will be fine. If you find a HID kit for the P13W style bulb, let me know :P.
