The gap really isn't an issue unless the fixture isn't properly sealed. Buy this isn't the case so I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm going to use the Nigel wiring harness ( ordered )and the BRZ stalk. Anyone with some input would be great.

Fixed my issues. Just extended the harness with more wire!

Am I missing something? A relay is a relay right? Typical 12v relays come in either 4 pin or 5 pin. Either a set of NO contacts or NO and NC contacts. Depending on how it's wired. Either providing a ground or voltage to the coil via a switch determines wheter its positive or negative trigger.
