I think at this point, its good that they are starting to explore upgraded components. I don't know what else more you expect out of the stock engine. Yes, it may make more power... but after 600+, you can expect the engine not to last very much.... Might as well start testing for upgrades.
why not?

The bottom end on these motor are pretty solid so far. Subaru made it really easy to work on these cars. Although the goal with our car is to push it to the limits and see how far we can go. The main goal that we are trying to achieve is a stock motor that can carry power to atleast 9k.
Maybe is a good idea to start working on the cast intake manifold. The new WRX will be out soon and they should be really similar. The market will be huge .

I am sorry if I sounded abrasive I am just excited about this engine.

A cast intake has already been started by someone else.

I'd be more interested in wear and tear than a blown engine, that seems like more useful data.

We have a engine on the stand ready to go and we will be testing our cnc ported head with cams in a month.

The heads will be flowed before and after, then tested in the car.

FB yall could just use a 3D scanner to make a plastic copy of the intake manifold then make a cast for a metal replacement, i am also worried about the intake manifold going at this rate, that alone could kill the engine without and internals actually failing

You do realise that air flows inside the manifold and not around the outside, right?

I doubt the plastic intake manifold is going to explode, crack, or leak.
