Not hard at all.. it's pretty much like changing your engine oil, except you unscrew two bolts instead of one.. And when you fill the transmission with fluid, you need a funnel & long tube.

You can get a pump instead, but I found the pump to be useless and more messy than it's worth. Just place the funnel at the top of the engine bay, near the firewall, and run the rubber tube down directly to the filler hole of the transmission. There's more than enough access room from the engine bay to the filler hole so that makes it easier too.

This funnel from AdvanceAuto worked for me.. although you might want to find one with a slightly longer tube.. I had to manuver the funnel down through the engine bay a little more because the tube wasn't long enough to reach, but it worked just fine.

Don't let some mechanic who doesn't know or care about your car do this for you.. it's really easy. Better to save your money and take the time/effort to do it yourself correctly. Good luck!

My Pentosin fix stopped working about a couple of weeks back. The first to second notchy resistance is back. Sometimes I can feel it bump me back several times before it goes into second. I am even getting it every so often going into third. I am at about 4800 miles. The Pentosin fix lasted me about 1700 miles. Oh well, a trip to the dealer soon.

I switched to pentosin a month ago and it might be a little better bit still notches in sometimes.

I don't know if it isn't worth the 120 I paid to get mine here in Canada plus 60 to swap the fluids.

I'm running Pentosin too. Better, but not perfect. 2nd is still an issue.

Pentosin is still working great for me. It has got to be close to 10,000 kms (6K miles) since I put it in. I didn't try MT-85, but suspect it would give similar results. I did try MT-90 and it was good until the cold temperatures were below 50F or so.

They're pretty much right as long as the notchiness goes away after it warms up. But Pentosin has definitely made the initial 1-2 shift much smoother in the cold. Can't wait to try it out today when it's 55F out
