Perrin Performance Catback : UNresonated.

Hello guys, I installed my perrin catback this weekend and i am beyond happy..
The unresonated catback is very deep and sounds absolutely amazing. If you are contemplating on which exhaust to buy, GET PERRIN. The quality is amazing and the tone is beyond the others. Before ordering i was contemplating if i should have it unresonated or resonated. Go unresonated guys, its loud but manageable. I am very very happy. Thank you Perrin for such a great product.

Do you plan on extending to a headerback eventually? I want to get the entire exhaust system, but I hear that it can keep a lot louder with the complete set if you go unresonated from the catback. Thanks!

yes it does get louder, but it will tone down over time as you "break it in" with more miles. and eventually it will become barely noticeable on the freeway... until you give it lots of gas

Is it from the exhaust or you becoming used to it?

both lol, my cayman used to be "loud" but now it just seems quiet..

and the exhaust has definately quieted down a lot as before I couldn't hear the radio unless I blasted it past 30

now I can enjoy it from a low 14

I find myself asking the same question.. The sound right now is loud but controllable.. When you step on it, oh boy can you hear it rumble.... And when you're cruising light on the gas it's a deep tone but not screaming for attention. I will post vids soon of the cold start which is addicting to listen to. Back to the question, yes. I do plan on buying the front pipe CATTED, not the over pipe due to the fact that there are no gains, just a nicer looking tube of metal IMO. If I had gone resonated, I would buy headers/front pipe/ etc. But honestly why spend all the extra money if the un resonated has the perfect tone... Beautiful sound, controllable, and wow you can really hear it scream when you step on it. Finally, the look is amazing. I have some nice before and after pics ill post soon.

I got this one as well. Last week actually. I was debating on resonated vs nonresonated. Eventually went with the nonresonated after checking out several videos, mainly this one that compares it to stock: http://dsportmag.com/showcase/scion-...ce-pspext360br.

I cant wait to get it. Ordered it from TeamCZP
