Thanks Gir.
Are you sure that GPS unit would work with the head unit though? Because I looked at the item and our head unit number isn't there were it says which model the unit works on. Thanks again for all your help |

Sorry guys, been a busy few days.
This unit isn't worth a review LOL. Yea it looks nice and all, but the performance and implementation are horrible. I'll give you some cliff notes. It's a dual core 1.2 that runs both android and windows ce (like a lot of the china knockoffs on ebay). The android is ONLY used for navigation. Yea it's full android 4.0, and it runs concurrently next to WinCE, but only one OS can use audio at a time. So if you are listening to FM or iPod, no android audio, and vice versa. The WinCE interface is ugly and has no iPod control (you can play from an iPod, though, you just have to skip and pause from the iPod itself). |

Gir, how much would it be to ask for a video review of your kenwood headunit? Im very interested in buying one for myself, but it seems theres a severe lack of information regarding this specific head unit online

Dunno about this brand but it comes out a hair under 580 bucks CDN before shipping and taxes etc etc and all that other jazz. The controls are simple enough with a rotary volume knob. |

http://www.mydean.ru/catalog/head_unit/item_348/ Price is in the $800-900 range. Planning to have a look at this thing this weekend. There are some other "Toyota Universal" units with 200mm front panel suitable for GT86/FR-S which are found only on Russian websites but obviously "Made in China" like this one: http://www.phantom-russia.ru/good_85.html |
