New to this forum, but I happen to be from San Antonio and currently living in the Houston area looking for a car club. Picked out my FR-S on 12/31/12 just in time for taxes from Toyota of Boerne. Whiteout FR-S with a 6MT.

I've been a couple of times in the early part of this century. It's ok. The vendors on the strand are very nice. If you've ever been to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, then Galveston would be like going to church in comparison. But depending on the night, you would still feel like a sardine cramped up in a can.

Feelin kinda bumed today. I placed an order/deposit with a certain dealership (nice lady and sales experience) about 3 weeks ago and no car as of yet. Today, another dealership has my exact car but the original dealer has nothing to trade (they have no FRS's in stock).

Now I could get my deposit back and go straight to that dealer but I don't think thats the right thing to do given the investment of time by the original sales person. Given its only been a couple of weeks I feel that I should still attempt to honor my original decision but it sucks knowing your exact car is available at another location.

Hopefully the two dealers can figure something out.

Good luck bro! I know how you feel. I actually had deposits on 3 different dealerships. They won't cash your check unless it's necessary and it's refundable (not sure if they told you that). The thing is, I had mine at Fort Bend first (this guy seemed like he was super devoted into getting me the FRS but forgot about me after 2 weeks). He told me,"I'll have one in for you in 3 weeks!" My thoughts, "HOLY CRAP YES!!!!' A month later, he told me, "If you find another one, go ahead! I'll mail you back the check!" My face at this point -> -_-''

The only two dealerships I recommend are Mike Calvert Toyota on 610 and Tejas Toyota at Humble. They constantly had FRS's going in and out. Not the ones I wanted, but they were there! I guess what I'm trying to say is, every dealership knows they are in competition, so give all them a fair chance. And don't expect it to come in less than a month unless you're super lucky. I had to wait 3 months before I had a chance to even deal on one that I wanted >_<. BUT GOOD LUCK! BRO!!! DON'T GIVE UP! IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!!

Whole entire car. First reason is I wanna see it in a yellow contemplating making it that color forever when i decide on a body kit and/or get out of college. The main reason is I don't want it to turn into a scratchy mess like my old yaris did when I was in my undergrad. Backpacks are very evil devices in a full parking lot.
