My red GTS Aero is here

Picked it up on Monday the 7th! Ordered it on the 20th of June 2012, long wait, but definitely worth it

2 small issues, being I cant get my contact info off my phone sent to the SatNav, and the USB port near the start stop button doesn't seem to work with my iPod... so going back to the dealer on Saturday for them to have a fiddle.

Other than that, I'm in love

Congrats on the purchase mate, looks great and nice personalised plates.
The USB port is really easy to remove to have a look at if you want to.
Just pull the piece of trim from underneath the passenger side knee pad - pulls outwards towards door, there's only a couple of clips holding it in place.
Stick your finger up through hole left by removing the trim and you can easily touch the back of the USB port, a gentle push will push it out of the centre console.
You can then easily tell if the cable is attached at the rear.
If it's not that then sounds like either the cable isn't attached at the rear of the stereo, a dud USB port or dud cabling.
My salesman synced all my contacts off my phone for me so I can't help with that one.

If you're taking it back to Melton, I would set up your odometer and check your fuel gauge before hand. I have a feeling that some fun in mine when I went in for my 1000km check.

They also didn't know the service interval, which is worrying.

Thanks for the tip, Sutty! I'm paranoid about touching or removing or pulling things out of this car, I've never owned a car from new before, so while the dealer is obliged to fix anything up, I'll be taking it back to them and keeping an eagles eye on them while they do it. Of course if I get desperate, I'll be following your instruction

Interesting, I will be taking it back there. I will be hanging around for the 1000km service though, and I do plan on getting a GPS tracking system for it to monitor and ask questions. The service manager seemed pretty cluey about it when I picked mine up, maybe they did their homework in between the time you picked yours up and now?

The nav software in the OEM unit has trip logging functionality built in and you can make it record every trip automatically (fiddle around in the settings). I used this to check that no 'fun' was had in my first car when they did the 1000k check... but they went up to 18km/h in their car lot, surely some rules broken there...

haha nice.

Dude, I ordered mine 13th June - still waiting - probably because it's white (I'm guessing more popular)

I also didn't think you could run an iphone directly through the USB? I know you can bluetooth though... I haven't got mine yet so not sure...

I can happily run my iphone 5 through USB and bluetooth, my iPhone 3GS also worked fine too.

Looks awesome mate.

I ordered same thing red with aero can't wait to get mine. I ordered mine on about the 23rd of June and last I heard it won't be going in to production until April which is really depressing how long it's taking.

i may be biased, but i prefer the factory aero kit option more than TRD... i used to really like the TRD and wished we got the TRD model here in Aus, but now I like mine better

Sold it and bought a manual.
