It's a sports car.

That said, if you have the back seats folded down it's much noisier than with them up. But the car is made of super-thin sheet metal with VERY little sound deadening, so do not be too surprised if it is as noisy as the WRX. I know it's a little noisier than a 2012 WRX, which was quieter than a Mercedes C300 (which I regard as absolute garbage).

The stereo sounds good though Music up, road noise down.

I am actually quite surprised by how quiet the car is at high speeds. Given that it is made up of think sheet metal, it's quieter than expect. It has about the same amount of road noise (or slightly more) than my last car, which was a 08 9-3 Aero.

For me, I like road noise. I'd fall asleep in a car that's too quiet.

Gas mileage is sensational for a RWD sports car AND the seats are super comfortable. Plus, having long arms can be a pain when the distance between seat and steering is too far to be comfortable. Because the FR-S is so small that's not an issue.

Buy one. You will be happy you did.
