FR-S backed into in parking lot

Plant protection came into my office this afternoon to tell me my car got backed into in the parking lot. Walked out to find this courtesy of an F-150's rear bumper. Still in disbelief, my first new car and I've never been in an accident. With this as the latest mishap including the CEL issue, taillight condensation, a nail in the tire, and a rock denting/scratching the hood, I'm starting to believe in the curse. These things must be invisible in parking lots...

Instead of backup cams can we just shoot people that can't drive?

Ouch. Sorry to hear about this. Your curse comment seems silly until I think about all the little things that have happened to mine since buying. I've owned lots of new cars and have never had this many little dents, dings, scratches, etc happen. You may be on to something...

like a good neighbor, Allstate in there! I got backed into while I was parked about 6 weeks ago. These really must be invisible while parked.

I back into all parking spots just so I don't have to worry about blind spots on this car while backing out. Wouldn't have helped here I guess but hey. I'm not much of a car guy though (beyond driving them I mean. Not the tech type) what is a CEL issue? My car runs well but there's times I feel like she sounds. Odd.

^This is the thread on the check engine/slip light issue. Had to have my ECU replaced at the beginning of November.

I'm gonna make some truck people mad but im going to say it anyways. I don't grasp why truck drivers back up into certain spots. If you have a big ass truck I know you can't see all around you so why put yourself into a position where you can make a mistake like this.

When I drive my dads f-250 I don't put myself in a position that could cause me to back into someone like this. Oh only if people took the 2 extra seconds and park 20 more feet farther down.

What really pisses me off about it is that the guy basically told me he didn't even look because "there's never a car parked there." He was too busy looking in the other mirror to make sure he didn't hit the plant manager's volvo.

They aren't invisible...just the opposite. On the few occasions I have been lucky enough to see one driving around my neighborhood, I had to do a double take to realize what it was. It's by far the coolest looking coupe under $40k.

Anyway, it isn't invisible, the truth is the world is filled with complete morons. That's why they keep getting hit, the moron factor.

And it certainly doesn't help when the offender is driving a vehicle that is clearly beyond their driving capability size-wise. That's what happens when people insist upon driving enormous gas guzzling pieces of shit.

^^^That, and no one should own a truck in a city without a backup camera. I'd have hit lots of things without mine.

Anyway, sounds like the driver owned up to it right away. Can't fault him for that.

believe it ,or not this kinda sh*t happening with the car could be a result of just so many hazzards driving today! it would appear that they are all out to get you on the road.it truly is scary the way people drive today! THEY ARE NOT PAYING ATTENTION.it's really f**ked! i have assholes pull up behind me all the time yacking on cell phones strapped to their heads, and i wonder if they are going to stop before hitting me! i get so f**kin' angry,i almost jump out of the car to admonish them, but think better of it,and try to remain calm! what the f**k is wrong with people? trucks throw all kinds of sh*t everywhere, and people don't care if they wack your door when they exit their vehicles. maybe obama will rescue us from this dilemma! ..one can only hope!
