I liked my Legacy's appearance, but the new impreza is just god awful IMO. I can't believe consumer reports named it their "top small car pick"

Nothing wrong with the Legacy, it's a good looking car. Great size and great mileage with the 2.5L. Got around 32mpg average for the 37000 miles I had it.

That's a shame about your cousin's car I really like the GTS variant, and yes it is very fishy, I think it's all hype and rumors. There isn't like any big plans, and I don't think they will do anything as such, especially with the WRX still not out nor is the new IS plus Lexus just got rid of another one of it's Sedan so I can't see another sedan in the future. Unless some how the Acura ILX really secure the market which I highly doubt it will. When it comes to Sedan I rather they improve the corolla, it's there bread and butter car and it need to be able to compete with Hyundai and Nissan.

Okay now I see, the BRZ sedan was mentioned by "Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. President Yasuyuki Yoshinaga"

Sorry to bring back an old thread. But I think there is a market for this. How many sub-3k lb, RWD sedans do we have on the market? Zero. In fact, sub-3k lb sport sedans period are almost non-existent (aside for the FWD Civic Si and Mazda3). WRX has the AWD market secured in the mid-to-upper-$20k's price range. For those that want a RWD compact sedan...there's really nothing until you go up to a 3-series.
Personally, I would love to see the BRZ/FRS in a sedan trim. I'm not saying they're going to make a killing on it, but I think they would get enough interest to take away sales from Jettas, Mazdas and Si's. |
