Brief encounter with Lichtfield BRZ

I was on a trip to Germany and went to the Nurburgring. One of the nice cars out there was this Lichtfield BRZ.

After that went to SPA-Francorchamps, and there it was again!
Shot with the famous Eau Rouge curve in the background.

Well, there were some other cars too

Oh and just FYI, if you happen to go to the Nurburgring, http://www.rentracecar.de/ has a GT86 rental since last week. It is a fun car to drive! (specially on decent tires).

I went to the Ring in March...wish I got to go to Spa as well! It's next on my list. Did you get to drive both tracks?

Review of that car.

I wasn't sure about the TSW Nurburg wheels before...now I'm sold.

Santiago. Hope you enjoyed it (even though summer here is too hot for my liking).

I drove about 16 laps in the Nur in different cars. Be sure to check the official calendar to organize your trip, the track is not open every day to the public, and even when it is is just for a couple of hours.
In SPA only as a passenger, no rentals available. Lovely track, and is just 80 miles from the Nurburgring.

They look VERY nice on the car. However I recall TSW wheels used to be pretty heavy, not sure about these.

Thanks I really enjoyed Chile. I visited 21 cities, and spent a week surfing in Pichilemu (stayed at the boat on the beach). Great country, and most people are friendly.

Those TSW wheels are semi-forged I believe, around 19lbs. each for 18s

These wheels, and a couple of other models from TSW have gotten a lightweight treatment.

Quote:
The Nurburgring is manufactured using a highly advanced production technique called rotary forging. The rim of the wheels is forged at high pressure while the wheel is spin at high speed. this alters the molecular structure and enhances the strength of the alloy. The benefit is a much lighter weight than a regular cast wheel. Most importantly, the weight saving is in the outer rim of the wheel which dramatically reduces rotational mass and enhances vehicle performance.

Ahhh, hell yeah. Need to give Theo a call and book a flight to Germany now. Did you get the "Welcome to Nurburgring intro lap"?
