Perrin 2" shorty antenna

My 2" perrin shorty antenna came in...I'm not gonna go thru an installation DIY

I do wanna let the ft86 community know that the reception is pretty good. I live in the S.F. Bay area....all the radio stations sounds great including all the HD radio stations. I also love the way the shorty antenna looks....

The reception is okay over here in NY. When I'm close to the city its great, but by my office in Long Island its so so, compared to the reception on the stock antenna. Doesn't bother me too much because I dont listen to the radio much, I prefer the smaller antenna look lol...

I think this looks great. I've been debating between this or the shark fin. I like the price of the shorty, but I'm just concerned that someone will decide they like it and snatch it off my car.

No worry use thread locker gel tight it up, no one is able to untwist that. I have the same thought installed mine. I have it for two months with no problem.

Is this car using this for GPS signal too? I don't listen to radio but often rely on GPS.

So far I had it on for three months, sometimes reception in and out a bit. Overall not bad signals. AM signal not that steady but FM and HD are pretty stable.
