If you want a straighter connection, you could bolt it to the upper child-seat anchor on the rear deck. But my SCCA region wants the belts connected to the stock belt locations or to a dedicated harness bar.

I'm pretty sure Schroth knows what they're doing as well. The name on the label isn't why I wouldn't feel safe. You hit the nail on the head with the part in bold.

Looks like I'll be getting another set of Rallye 3's...nice. The stock seats are ok but really don't do what they should to keep you in the seats while on track (HPDE), so you end up using your legs and knees to keep from being tossed around in the corners.

I would feel safe rocking the Rallye 3's on track due to their ASM design on the inner strap (which gives and will unravel under crash loads to allow freedom of movement) and the FR-S has Subaru's halo ring B-pillar design. Definitely feel a lot better/safer in this car on track than the tin can, flimsy chassis RS Integra I ran before...

I'm not arguing, but I would like to point out that these belts have an anti-submarine mechanism that makes them about as safe as the OEM 3-points in that respect.

I don't see them in those pictures. How do they mount?

If you look at the picture showing the harness behind the seat you'll see a plastic piece on the shoulder belt. Inside that is an extra 4-5 inches of belt. In the event of a crash, the inside shoulder belt extends that extra distance, rotating the upper body similar to a how it would in a 3-point. This reduces the chance of submarining in the same manner. These belts meet DOT safety standards.

OK, I see that. Still would not sit in these on track but thanks for pointing out the functionality I overlooked.

With installing these belts have you tried sitting anybody in the back seats? Or nobody is able to sit back there?

With the belts in place, noone can sit behind the seat. But in the strap that goes to the rear mount there's a buckle to disconnect it. So you just separate it and stow the front belts under the seat or to the side and you can use the rear seat normally.

Great!! Thanks for the answer lol that was my next question if it could be disconnected so somebody could sit back there.. They didn't have any other colors available? I think red would look great in the interior.

I got mine from SoloRacer.com. Right now they only have black available for the belts. However the pads are available in a number of different colors.

They're also available with or without the patch, and there's a leather version as well.

Very nice pick up! They look great in the car and like you said, they are great for the weekend racer. Perfect for autocrossing and the occasional open track day. We had the Rallye 4's in our Evo IX and Evo X

We carry Schroth as well!!

How easy is it to use the normal belt for everyday use and then use the Rallye 3 for autox? I've been thinking of just getting a CG-Lock but I like the harnesses better.

He kind of already answered this. You can disconnect from the rear and stow them behind or under the seat. They will still be connected at the lower lap mounts and you can just slip them back into place and connect them to the rear mounts when ready to use again.
