Volk RE30 ECO 18x7 5x100?

I have been looking at these wheels for the last several days and thought it would be really nice for my car.It seems to be best price on Volks I have seen $2,099.30 for a set almost seems like a steal. But still a little out of my budget at the momment. I dont know the weight on them. But since the RE30 18x7.5 is 15.8 pounds I can only assumed that these are less than that.Maybe a perfect 15pounds? But I think these would be the perfect wheels.still be able to let the car go sideways a bit.

What do you think?

You really can't go wrong with RE30s. Go for it!

and they'll look so much better on a FRS than on that hideous Prius

I wonder if it will be hard to find tires to fit these since they are so tall and thin.Had that problem with my old corolla. On a very long road trip a long time ago and i had bad tire. Went to walmart on the road and they dont have any instock and they call around the next walmart that carried the tire was over 40 miles away

Not sure what exact size or what model of tires you're going for. But in my experience, most performance tires need to be ordered no matter where you are anyway. Did a quick search and quite a lot of manufactures make sizes that fit 18x7

Why the Eco? Do you want them to be that skinny? I'd go for the regular RE30's with a lower offset (if they're even available, I'm not 100% up on my Volk wheel sizes)

I kinda like them skinny like that.Cause it wouldnt end up giving me too much grip.Plus it wont hurt my fuel economy.

Spending $2000+ on wheels but you're worried about fuel economy? Sounds a tad bit contradictory, lol. The tire compound will make a difference with fuel economy and grip, too. I just think aesthetically if I were gonna spend that kind of money on forged wheels I'd want the fitment to be perfect, but that's just me.

I flared my MR2, removed the front fender liners, and put 15x8.25" wheels and 205/225-width, 140-treadwear tires (from stock of 14x5.5" and 185-width tires) on it, and my fuel economy didn't suffer a noticeable change... although I feel like it definitely should have! I still average 33mpg

I love Volks as much as the next guy, but why not something cheaper and just as light like OZ Alleggerita? They weigh 16lbs in 18x7.5" and cost $398ea on TireRack plus shipping. Just throwing ideas out there... again it's your money and your car. The RE30's actually seem like a good price, I gotta say.

7" rim with that offset will be pushed in like the stock rims. If you are spending the money on an aftermarket set you would probably want a 7" with lower number offset or really a wider wheel.

Why would you get those just to have basically stock fitment again, but just taller? IMHO, if you can save up 2k, you can save a tad more and get ones that fit better.

Just because the car has prius tires doesn't mean it needs prius wheels...

Way too much money for stock fitment. Great wheel, no doubt.. Imo a waste of money. I understand your reasoning but I believe you can do better for $2000.

Bottom line is if you are happy that's all that matters.
