Max has gone to a new home. You may remember that I sold my MV Agusta F3 (that I named Red Molly) last year. Around the same time I once again posted my wife's Ducati M796 for sale. (See post #389 page 28 of this thread) Although we'd had several very interested parties wanting the bike the deals always fell through. Usually it was a problem with the buyer not being able to get insurance.
Well, an old friend from back in our Ducati club days read something I posted on a US FB club page. He contacted the wife and not having seen the bike in over six or seven years bought it over the phone. We met up with him and his spouse for lunch a couple of weeks ago and the wife accepted a cash deposit. Yesterday he came and picked up the bike and all the OEM parts.
He couldn't stop talking about how great the bike was or all the extras that were on it that he'd forgot about. He said he got far more than what he was paying for. I genuinely believe he felt guilty for not giving her more.

Is this engine a game changer or what? Rated at 220bhp and 130kg’s! It’s a fast little f**er that's for sure.
The rotary engine/bike concept has been around since the 70’s. Looks like thisteam has nailed the next gen!
After the test ride listen to (read) how Guy describes the bike. At 69 years of age the younger, boy racer in me wants one!
Turn up your speakers or put on a headset.

I just watched that the other day. Pretty insane and the sound is glorious. The current crop of GP bikes sound like tractors anymore.

Wondering if 1 or 2 rotors. Seems quite lumpy low rpm but powerful delivery. Could see him bouncing.
Can still find the occasional Suzuki rotary on the collector market.

I think there are some weird displacement rules for rotaries as far as competition is concerned

29th Ducs Fly South Ducati Rally Murphy NC.

So the wife and I have decided to attend this years DFS Ducati rally in Murphy NC. We'll be driving our black BRZ tS not riding. If you're in the area and want a great weekend ride with like minded people sign up. Go to USDesmo.com for info on the club, (you do not have to be a member) and then click on the DFS Rally. All makes are welcome. There is always a large variety. However, Italian brands get bigger smiles.

Pop & Pizza Meet-n-Greet Friday around supper time. Saturday has three, 3 hour routes with I assume a common lunch stop. Saturday evening is a catered meal with bench racing in the parking lot to follow. Sunday is open.

We usually get there early Thursday and go off exploring to places like Teleco, Helen, Dahlonega and such. At some point we always visit the Veterans Memorial Park in Clayton, Georgia. I may even take the tS to the Dragon. I know there are lots of other roads that are better, less traveled but... I'll get my photo taken by at least three different people. eh!
So, if in your travels your see a black BRZ tS with Ontario plates between the 12 and the 19th of September, That's US!
