I've considered one on multiple occasions, but I've owned 3 bikes now and every one of them, I eventually stop riding due to a lack of interest after a year or two. That and the fact that drivers on the road today are more oblivious than ever, makes it hard for me to get another. If I did, I feel like it would be almost entirely for track use. But it's still hard to get myself to pull the trigger. Congrats on the purchase though! I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun.

R6 isn't dead, just a track-only bike now. It doesn't really compare to the 600's 4 cylinder but is perfect for me. The CP2 is very preppy for the street where I'm at and the less committed supersport ergonomics makes it easily dailyable. That being said if your used to track driving with topend monsters you may be left wanting more on the track. I'm nowhere near that skill level so it was a nice choice as an intermediately skilled rider who is working on it. Thumbs crossed they release a "R9" with the 3-cylinder reworked from the MT-09SP!

Middle of March, after weeks of long walks to build up muscles I finally felt mobile enough to go out for a moto ride.
All suited up, nice afternoon, tire pressure, loose bits check and fresh license tabs. Lights, signals, brakes, front, check, rear ... locked up. Oh ... well. Old bike needs some maintenance. Pulled the caliper and master. Master has some fluid crystallization and is stuck in the bore, so I ordered new bits for both. Can't get the caliper piston out either, so order some inner surface pliers to persuade it. Worked. While I'm waiting I checked the helmet. Nice and shiny polish up, looks nice. The inside not so much. Comfort liner foam under the fabric has turned into greasy black crumbs. Whoosh. New helmet ordered too. Meanwhile ... the water heater revolts and I've got a re-union scheduled and I've got to build tools appropriate to the occasion. Five new kites to show off and trade and where does the time go. Monday I fixed the water heater. Tuesday clean and prep the bike hydraulics. Vacuum all the sand out of my back seat. Wednesday assemble the parts and chop back half the honeysuckle that's eating the deck. Thursday attach all the parts to the bike and remount the back wheel. Today I bled the air out and got it all working again. Whoot! Went for a ride around the block to assure myself that nothing is falling off. Relief from a huge grind in my gears to get back on the bike after several years. Just feeling a bit chuffed at the moment, even if it's raining now and for the next few days.

There where a few other riders out this evening. I give the pinky and ring finger wave from the grip but most use the low sideways peace sign.
Scrubbed in some fresh tires today. nice. |

Will we see a non-factory rider win the title this year in MotoGP? Bastianini is killing it. Love his riding style and end of race pace.

Loved my VFR. But, I washed it too many times and it shrank. Or, maybe I got old.

I passed my exam the first time because my dad taught me how to drive a harley since I was a kid, we took it apart for parts, changed the brake pads for harley touring, took apart the engine, did a complete tuning of the bike so I already knew everything by the exam.

I've been trying to sell my MV for several years. A new member on the mvagusta.net forum found my old ad and called me about the bike. Long story short, he drove over 4 hours and on a long stretch of toll road to boot, to come and see the bike. He wanted it and asked question after question. He looked the bike over, up and down, inside out. Yep he drove all this way to buy this bike. He wanted to ride it. I figured he was serious because he drove all this way.
After his short ride he hummed and hawed for two hours. Re asked all the same questions, asked to see all the parts he said he didn't want. I'm not sure if he was trying to talk himself into the purchase or out of it. However, in the end he left without the bike he'd come to buy. His only comment was that he sat too high on the bike. He was used to older sport bikes where felt like he was sitting in them. He had owned an MV F4 and was hoping this would be like that only smaller and with the three cylinder engine that he prefers. Anyway, I still have an F3 for sale in Ontario. The youtube video is him riding my bike at a slow pace past my house. Note: this is the stock exhaust on the bike. |

I am looking at getting rid of my 690 Duke. Even though it is the dual counterbalanced version, the vibration on long rides is too much for me. As much as I like it, I just can't take it anymore. Looking at either the RS660 or the Triumph Street Triple next.

You need a K12 then.
Electric motor torque and smoove. Hard bags for the groceries and Home Despot runs. Took it for a burger lunch run yesterday.
