*EDIT* - Wonder if it is some crash regulation these days..
Im betting its exactly that, some type of crash regulation

Look what I found today...

The tips say to torque to 30 ftlbs, but no other torque numbers are provided. I'm assuming the other joints on the exhaust are also 30, as they look like similar hardware, and that the main joint to the front pipe is 13.3 ftlbs per the below (and googling from Gen I shows the same number). Seem reasonable?

I won't be putting it on for a little while (need to figure out my ramp setup first - and its bloody cold right now). Can't do much of a before/after sound comparison either, as I haven't been able to go WOT for months now with how slick the roads are.

Err u sure it is ft/lb and not INCH/LBs? Just looking at the ends, and remembering my perrin exhaust, all connections between the mid-pipes and tips were all in inch/lbs. I nearly screwed up my exhaust since I thought initially it was ft/lb. Please confirm/check with online instructions or someone who already installed it.

edit: Correction, I was specifically talking about any type of clamps that come with the system. Usually all bolts are ft/lbs.

Just checked, and it says ftlbs.

How quiet is the Greddy Supreme SP? Is it even worth considering?

It’s pretty quiet on the FA20. Sounds like it could have left the factory with it, which is what I like about it.

So far the only SP on an FA24 I know of is on @ ‘s car. Haven’t found any clips on YouTube to compare to the way it sounds on the old one. Pretty safe to assume it’ll sound pretty mellow on this engine too though.

GReddy Supreme SP

Amazing quality and flawless robotic tig welds.

Proper Y pipe diverter to assist exhaust gas velocity and scavenging effect.

Excellent alignment of both tailpipes inside the cutouts.

Used on Gen 1 and will use again on Gen 2

Sound is a personal preference but this video is a good representation with a stock header and stock front pipe.

It's more mellow inside the cabin with no drone at any rpm.

I just wish I could hear a clip of it on a Gen 2. I found a local deal on a good used one in good shape. Im just worried it will be too quiet for my enjoyment. I usually have a fairly loud exhaust on my cars, was honestly planning a dual exit axle-back muffler delete for the BRZ. Seems like a Greddy SP would be the opposite end of the spectrum, just hard to pass up a really good deal.

The GReddy Supreme SP sounds even better with a good quality (Tomei - ACE - JDL) equal length header and resonated catless front pipe.

there's a sound clip on the facebook page.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/3908...arch/?q=greddy

if you plan on doing any kind of header in the future it won't be quiet. I had a perrin 2.5 resonated on my first gen, i'm doing the greddy on my 2nd gen. its about as oem looking to the jdm sti exhaust as you can get.

my first gen perrin was extremely tame, about as loud as the greddy...but once i added a borla uel, it got plenty loud at wot.

What a difference with a resonated or non-resonated front pipe.

Equal length vs. unequal length header makes a big difference on sound too.

Opinions? What do you guys think about the muffler delete? With everything else stock, it could be pretty good. Very nice looking piece too.

Yup huge difference on that front pipe. I will certainly be keeping my front pipe resonated.
