I found on mine that the fake sound kicked in just above 3k. Not crazy loud, but still adding some noise (more than I thought it would). I've plugged mine back in - probably until I get an intake/exhaust.

I just passed 1000 miles with the ASC turned off most of the time. I found the ASC to be too loud but the engine sounds just OK without it. I'm going to try the ASC at the quieter setting that the automatic gets and then maybe go for an exhaust if that doesn't work.

It seems like turning on the stereo should make the ASC quieter or even turn off. How do these things make it through the focus groups? I get that a few young enthusiasts may want more engine sound, despite modern levels of sound deadening, but don't the average people not want extra noise when they're trying to listen to music?

I have had the car to 100 and it doesn't sound crazy loud to me. I'll prob leave it on.
