Why?

Seems like the ej20 will have the same issues as the FA20 with non of the perks (direct & port injection)

Why!!
Because fa20 damage 2nd time because of bad oil pump ..

First time 47mil
5w30 oil

Here engine price much expansive
Ej20x can found full part at cheap price ..

You will need a full standalone system most likely if you want everything to work.
All in your already probably at the cost of 2 more OEM motors.

Sorry to say its you or whoever is tuning/building your engines not the FA20 that's at fault here.

Fa20 used one cost Herr 2k

All fab and used ej20x my friend spent around 1300$

I told him better to use standalone ecu ..

Good thing not Alfred of bad oil pump
With good hp around 286hp stock motors

So now way to connect fa20 to ej20 ecu??

Thnx again

Just to throw it out there... If you had engine failure and reused your timing cover, you're doomed to repeat failure. The oil pump gets compacted fragments in it.

Nothing inherently wrong with an EJ20X swap, but it's going to be so much work for possibly nothing. I can't fathom how this would work without investing as much as any other engine swap.
