Yeah, implanting NFC make more sense than magnet.

NFC on its own probably wouldn't be secure enough still.

My guess is something like NFC+Apple's "Secure Enclave" or whatever other companies are doing that's similar. A highly secure SOC that can handle keeping that data authenticated/validated.

Actually, I don't know which was worse. That or getting into the track-prepped MX5 at Thunderhill that had a bucket seat several sizes too small for me, or:

This bucket was tiny-person sized. I was able to "get in" but the steering wheel was basically up against my groin.

I think what it really does is let you feel a magnetic field trying to pull the magnet out of you, but I suppose that's semantics.

It's an odd thing I've read some on before, but hey whatever vibrates your magnatron I guess. There was a linked article about someone embedding basically what was a credit-card size rasberry pi under their forearm to send biometric data to the Internet.

It takes all kinds.

Yes, that is the limitation. The benefit of NFC is the power source is the initiating terminal, meaning you don't need one on the service consumer side. But, there is only so much you can do on the consumer side because of power limitations. So you need an embedded smartphone equivalent to make it work. And how many of us are really comfortable putting a cellphone battery under our skin... Or a GPS tracking device... Or...

I was roaming around the forum and ran into Irace86's Kswap thread, which sent me down the rabbit hole, not about K-swapping, but his Harrop supercharger. I can absolutely not afford it right now, but is like when I used to go to CarID, fill the cart with all these fancy parts, go to checkout, delete all items in the cart, and then cry myself to sleep.

Which brings the question, to humor me, would the catted JDL UEL/ or my whole exhaust setup be compatible with a Harrop SC.

Damn you Irace......jk. Best of luck with your build.

The cat is more likely to fail when running an SC. Less of a risk with the front pipe cat but still a potential issue. I know of someone who lost a FP cat running the jackson racing setup. Play at your own risk.

You see that if someone quotes you then later deletes their post. Not sure if it does the same for "Thanks".

You know what, I've never actually tried to delete a post before.... I don't know why, but I was thinking it was getting deleted by a mod LOL

I suppose it could be, but I have seen it in other cases. I've deleted a few but it's usually in something like "Counting with Pictures" or "Keep a word, drop a word" where someone snipes my entry and it's out of order.

I have a double resonated FP so I think that would be okay. As far as the header goes, JDL claims it can handle 500HP/ build for turbo and boost because of the GESI cat. I’ve just never seen someone actually putting it to test.
