The release of the twins was perfect timing for me because I really needed to replace my 20 year old Camry. If the twins didn't exist I would have gone with a BMW 328i or a Lexus IS350.

Nothing. My WRX is still fine so I wasn't really shopping for anything, but I've been following the ft86 development for years and decided I wanted one. Probably would've ended up replacing the WRX with the new STI when it comes out in a few years which I might still do anyways.

Nothing else around this price point interested me enough to buy "new".

My current car because thats what I did before the FT86 became a reality
back in 2010, because my 2010 Golf TDI kicks with 236lb/ft of torque
and gets 40+ mpgs..

but now I want the rear wheels to spin rather than the front.
