At 7.5k miles it's not even broken in. If you want to really BREAK it in for maximum reliability, make sure to hit the rev limiter every time you drive. The colder the engine the better. Also just keep downshifting when you want to go faster like Paul Walker and Vin Diesel did.

You kidding me I learned the triple down shift from Diesel.. probably around 80 or 90 is when it's primo optimal.. for passing civics for sure, six three boom baby!

2019 86 with about 7.5k miles. Current mods are N1 cat back and stage 1 tune. Have Borla UEL catless and stage 2+ waiting to go on, had the parts for like 7 months - I’m just lazy. Planning to go lightweight build and skip FI.

I drive the hell out of my car, a lot of highway driving, 40-60mph and I’d say nominally 60-70% of the time I row 1st-3rd gear to redline getting up to speed assuming I’m not stuck behind someone else. I revmatch/heel-toe downshift probably 90% of the time.

I’m hoping to get at least 80k miles out this engine before rebuild/swap the way I drive, 100k or more would be outstanding.

So given these details, how long do you think my engine will last? How do you drive your cars?

It's last for as long as you maintain it, for sure.

Unless it's giving you problems, why give yourself an ulcer worrying?

When in doubt, downshift to 1st gear.
