Not quite, it also comes with different intake and intake manifold and a different Final Drive. It would be nice if they added all this to the automatic, but as mentioned above enthusiasts will generally opt for manual when looking for performance

The intake and final drive are on all ‘17-up manuals, not just the performance package.

To give you a baseline: I recently priced out a 2018 BRZ Limited w/ PP and the STi Aero Kit -- a local dealer offered me it for $29,000 (plus taxes and fees). Not a bad deal at all.

I was curious about this as well. I emailed Subaru Marketing awhile back and all they would tell me was they would not offer the PP on any AT for the 17-18 models. I'm not sure why to be honest... It's like you said, only rims, brakes, and dampeners.

As far as I can tell almost everything is added at the port or the dealer. The factory only makes 6 versions for the USA, all exactly the same (not including colors). Everything not on the 'base' version of each trim is port or dealer added.

Manual Premium
Auto Premium
Manual Limited
Auto Limited
Limited w/Performance Pack

Hm, I really want the Brembo brakes. The red color is so much better than the standard brake color which is like grey and unattractive. Its gonna suck if I cant get those on.

probably because compared to manual enthusiasts most drivers of autos, at least in North America, don't care about such things

So you only want them for aesthetic purposes? Pretty sure you can buy cheap covers to accomplish the same thing or even pay a shop to paint the stock calipers for less than the cost of the PP.

If you want the Brembos from the PP for driving reasons, then why not get the manual transmission?

Because this is going to be my daily driver. I'd rather not drive a manual every day.

What options come on the 2018 Limited?

Your loss really.
This tranny is a joy to drive in traffic. I drive her to work almost every weekday and in the rare occasion I don't, I end up sad at the end of my work day because I realized I don't have my BRZ to drive home.

Edit: this wasn't supposed to come off as abrasive, still totally a preference.

Entirely up to you.

But I know I and others daily our manual twins without issues. I'd say unless you're sitting in slow crawl traffic 60+ minutes each way of your commute it's super manageable. The clutch in this car isn't "heavy" or otherwise tiring.

5 versions. There's no Auto Premium, you have to upgrade to Limited if you want the Automatic.
I remember Subaru saying that something like 80% of BRZ's sold are manual, so it makes sense to offer more versions of your top sellers.
