OFT V2

Just ordered my OFT V2. Looking forward to the bigger screen and hopefully faster load times due to the better processor. Does anyone know if they will come with the tunes for my 17 brz or if that’s something I’ll have to contact shiv directly for?

I’d like to know the 2017 compatibility too. Matter of fact I ordered and then canceled the OFT V2 worrying about not having the tunes for our 2017.

Yea I was thinking about that but I figure I'll get a hold of them eventually if they are not already preloaded on it. I'll let you know if they include the 2017 tunes when I get a hold of it.

Also interested on this, website says supports 2017 models. Want to know if flex fuel is available.

My OFT has a messed up USB port and doesn't want to connect to my PC anymore (I can make it, but it's a PITA) and the connection to the OBD2 port doesn't fit well either. I may end up getting a V2 also.

Does this device support the newer cars? I've seen a few logs of the old device and different parameters were plain zero. People that were trying to modify their cars moved to the Ecutek world.

The OFT hardware old or new definitly supports flashing and reading the 2017 ecu, its same as earlier cars jyst the firmare in ecu is different requiring different Tuning.

All you need is access to the V3\4 tunes and you wil! be fine on old or new hardware.

However no flex fuel support for 2017 tunes, only dedicated e85 at this point in time

What im saying is the physical oft device js capabke of reading and writing to 2017\2018 cars but you need the cirrect tune.

My understanding is that currently the 2017 tunes you need to get oft guys to email them to you then you load onto oft and flash. I dont think the oft will come pre loaded with the 2017 tunes only the older tunes

David from FT86 Speedfactory just confirmed via an email to me that "the tablet will have the correct tunes for the 2017 models as they all have the updated files to support all model years" ---his words.
