You need a different outlet -> charge pipe hose for the C38.

I am planning to replace my stock header with a catless header this summer. My goal is to reduce back pressure to increase engine reliability rather than increasing the power. I will go with an EL header and based on quality/cost I think I have these options to choose from: Invidia, HKS, and Tomei. I don't see the justification for ACE header with my JR setup since it seems that ACE makes most difference in NA applications. Any feedback before I purchase?

They will say the ACE makes the most power everywhere, but if you cannot justify the price, then I see nothing wrong with the Tomei or HKS headers. They get the job done and will help produce gains you desire.

Superchargers love headers. I would expect more gains than an NA application.

I am just trying to reduce back pressure. I think the internal pressure will decrease by opening up the exhaust. I am thinking this will decrease the engine fail risk. Otherwise, the car has enough power for me as it is. If there will be some increase in power, I would happily take it though

I've wondered this as well. I purchased the JDL EL header but havent bolted it up yet as the JR C30 tune is pretty damn good outta of the box. I'd like to ceramic coat the header to keep the engine bay cooler and help the motor run more efficiently.

I am also very happy with JR C30 tune; it is perfectly smooth. But with a catless header, I am not sure if an O2 spacer will be enough to avoid CEL. Invidia header has the CEL fix integrated. Delicious tune is supposed to be very good too. We will just need a new MAP sensor for Delicious tune which is not a big deal.

Regarding thermal coating, I would like to hear from other JR users. How about thermal wrap? Since these are best quality stainless steel, I think, corrosion should not be a problem with thermal wrap.

The power increase is not from "more stress". Rather, it's from a (drastic) increase in efficiency. If anything, you're actually reducing stress, even with the higher oputput.

That's a non-issue. If you get a new header, you need a new tune. Your tuner will just disable the CEL for the O2 sensor.

ACE headers are an excellent addition. We do also sell JDL and Tomei as well. Thanks!

This is a tough call, currently the car runs flawlessly. Is it worth the extra expense to gain some power and solve a problem that doesnt exist?

This is what I was thinking. My main goal is reducing the stress.
