As a PS to this post ....... the rest of this house.

Folks, @Cole comes to mind, have commented about the perfect job. As close as I came was in 1971, living in this house. The part of the house to the right was my office. The sliding glass doors off the deck (in the corner) was the master BR. I was a Research Representative for a large chemical company, covering California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii.

I worked out of my house and had a new company car and an expense account. Also, I had a wife, who didn't work outside the home and one child.

Yep, a one year old MGB and a two year old motorcycle sitting in the garage. The only debt was the house payment.

Where did I go wrong ......?? ......

To pour salt into that wound, a few days ago, my girlfriend told me that I should get a wing for my car again, so naturally, I listened. The wing was shipped on 2 January from China, and is currently sitting in the same warehouse as the order I placed with Newegg. Can't wait to see how things pan out.

Just imagine how it would look on the car.

I wish that were possible today. The property tax might get you if you'd stayed there.

Whee.

Maybe I can afford to sell this place and buy something I can afford if I live to be able to retire...

Yep, things have changed. Two and a half years salary won't get you squat here now unless you make $500k a year.

Naw, he would have a pre prop 13 house and his property tax would be locked at pre 1976 levels. Only us younger people pay the outrageous property tax here.

We can carpool...

Reminds me of a story.

Several years ago MomHawk and one of her friends took up going to a Jazzercise class at a place that was basically a storefront. You could clearly see the class from the outside as you drove by since they "performed" right in front of the window.

The other Husband and I concocted what we thought was a good plan at the time to show our support. One night we drove our wives to the course under the guise of meeting each other to have a "catch up chat" while the ladies did their thing.

When he arrived he backed his pickup into a spot right in front of the storefront, we set up some chairs and a cooler in the back, and proceeded to enjoy the show while "catching up" over a cold one.

The ladies laugh about it now...but they didn't feel it was quite as supportive as we did.

I was searching for 17x8 (+30~+40) w 5~6 spoke wheels for our cars. I've found 5Zigen FN01R-C, SSR Type C & Volks TE37. Did I miss other ones (excluding XXR, Rotas and other copying brands)
