Andrew,

We would love to! I'm not sure how to go about it yet without a shop car but would love to! We were thinking rally inspired/targeted when BS'ing in the shop.

Do you guys a have a rough release date for the wing? Spring 2018 maybe? I would love to to have it for the next season of track days. And if you guys have a waiting list could I get on it?

I think spring 2018 is a good prediction. We had some initial manufacturing hard comings which is why it took ~5 months to get the first articles. We didn't expect that but it is ground up design, completely built off our own geometry so a few snags should have been expected. However, those manufacturing issues are now figured out and once we test mounting, we'll be full steam ahead! So yes, hopeful for spring 2018! No waiting list, but we'll definitely try to judge interest up front and build enough to fulfill those wanting one.

We also tested the strength in a very scientific fashion . You are correct, this is not indicative of how the wing is held up but it *is* what we can do right now without the mounts and it took 150lbs without breaking a sweat. Also great use of the newly purchased lifts .

Dive Planes:

We released dive planes for the FR-S and are working on BRZ dive planes currently. Produced from 2x2 twill, 1.5mm thick, pre-preg carbon fiber cured in an autoclave.

Another product we recently released was a fix for the fuel starvation issues some track guys experience on long left-hand turns. There is a fundamental flaw in the factory basket which allows fuel to escape during left-hand turns, which our fix solves. This is only for those experiencing fuel starvation.

Our video explaining the issue: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNybNi1IheE"]FRS, BRZ, GT86 and WRX Fuel Starvation Fix - YouTube[/ame]

Thank you,

Grabbed an early morning (and very chilly) picture the other day. Been driving the car a lot lately to get miles on the gearset and synchros. So far everything has been doing great! This is the best the BRZ has ever shifted for me and in near freezing temps.

We've been really busy but here is a picture of a portion of our shop! I'll grab some more photos and maybe even try to do a vlog type deal of it all this winter. We're getting everything organized with PRI around the corner.

Thanks,
Eric

Testing on the rear wing (off car) continues. This is 210 lbs being strung up by some safety wire by the actual machined (billet) wing mounts. I added another 100 lbs of my own body weight but did not grab a picture of that. Trying to figure out how to "borrow" another few plates from a local gym .

We're still waiting for a few more pieces to test it out on car, but it is getting closer!

Thanks,
Eric

I have a question re the BRZ front splitter. Should I expect significant issues in respect of ground clearance?

My BRZ is around 2cm lower than stock. I have a relatively big/long rear diffuser and noticed that it can touch the ground if I drive over curbs/bumps.

The Verus front splitter is quite long. Will this significantly affect the use of the car (e.g. when driving into a garage, driving over bumpy racetracks like the Nordschleife)? I saw a video of the new prototype Corvette ZR1 where the front splitter hit the ground on the Nordschleife ...

Thank you.

I am assuming you are referring to the non adjustable splitter. I have the Toyota 86 one. I am lowered on Bilstein B16 coilovers by about 30mm up front and 33mm in the rear. When I was on stock tyres and wheels (17"), the front did scrap on some quite steep angled intersections and had to be careful on speed humps. Not like stance where going at crazy angles to avoid bottoming out but had to be aware.

Now I am running enkei rpf1 in 17", but I have gone from the stock 215/45/R17 tyre to a 245/45/R17 tyre. I did this as now, the sidewall is 15.75mm thicker. This essentially raises the ride height by that much. Now I still am aware of some intersections around my area but haven't bottom out since. At the moment I think I have about 110mm ground clearance under the splitter. Will confirm once I get home after work.

You will have to be aware that you have a splitter sticking out of the front of the car, but IMO, it is not difficult to avoid hitting the splitter. If you are speaking of the adjustable splitter, 5" out from the front is quite a bit and you may begin running into issues more often.

@Tiz just measured the clearance and it is at 115mm. That is at the very tip of the splitter. Bear in mind that with the splitter, there are these vanes that get installed roughly in the middle of the splitter across the entire width. They are probably about 10mm thick. But if you are going to hit anything, you are going to hit the front first.

Also, with the Nordschleife, I think you will most likely be bottoming out; especially around the carousel where from videos I have watched, is very rough. I have seen standard cars bottoming out there. But these splitters are very durable. I bottomed out multiple times on stock wheels and tyres and there is no visible signs of wear. Yes if you run your hand underneath you can feel it a bit rough but these are durable things.

I apologize, is this better?

Paul compiled data for the wing! This will be considered our low drag, high-efficiency wing. We have a maximum efficiency, also known as L/D, of 11.5. This was made possible by developing the wing directly in CFD using optimization studies in ANSYS.

Most of the pieces of the wing are in production now, but we have people with mixed opinions on which design they like better. Option A is our current design. Option B is what was suggested by an industry friend. The top plane of the upright in Option B is parallel to the ground while Option A is angled down around 12 degrees. What are all your thoughts?

Thanks,
Eric
