With the Coaxial top hat, the spring sits on an isolated perch, rather than on a top hat. When the shaft sits at an angle, normally, there is more pressure on one side of the spring. The isolated perch allows the load to be distributed evenly and removes the strain on one side of the piston by way of the shaft...

Perfect, that makes total sense and actually it's what I was envisioning, but I didn't see it in the pictures so I didn't understand for sure.

So then a product like this isn't needed but it assists. What are the most notable improvements with this product? Spring consistency/life? Wear?
