Nice the quality of the pieces look great. I actually wrote programming for a 3D printer as my senior project in College(back in 2012). I haven't kept taps on it 3D printing space. But I do know it has come a long way. It's going to disrupt a lot of shit as the cost keeps going down. Do you plan on painting them? I wonder how they well the pieces will take paint.

Yes, these pieces will be primed and painted no problem. The material is similar to ABS and should require little paint prep. The big question is what color to paint them. Crystal Black Silica or Satin Black to match the spoiler. If people want an OEM paint color, it'll be an upcharge. I have to figure out how to create a poll once I have pics. Also, don't forget to follow me on IG @Drambeenie! |

I will look you up on IG. I am not very active. But always nice to support someone making cool stuff for the community. I'd vote Satin black for sure. Match the spoiler. Plus would look killer with Series yellow. So I may be biased haha. |

This looks great. I love the design you've done on this packaging.
Feel free to ignore: Not sure how serious you are about business. But unless you are selling through a retailer. Customer wont see this package until after they have bought the product. Since most sales will be over the internet, the website will be the main marketing/entrance point for your customer. I believe that website design will play a stronger role in generating sales then packaging design. |

Looking great! Can't wait to get these.
Will the final version have the Drambeenie imprint on them? I don't think it would look right if we're going for the OEM look. |

The drambeenie will be imprinted in the pieces. I still want that OEM look so the indentation is subtle and is located immediately under the spoiler which you only see if you try and look for it. I put so much effort I at least wanted people to see who made it. However you’ll never really notice it’s there until u look closely!

BIG BIG BIG UPDATE! The first being I am now an official sponsor on the forum! From BRZ owner to after market manufacturer the journey on this thread has been amazing. I have to pinch myself - The risers are completed and installed!
I want to first thank everyone so much for their support these past few months. Everyone on here has been super encouraging and it’s been unbelievably humbling. To date this is the first physical project I’ve ever created and the first 3D printed one! Technology is amazing! As a sponsor I’ll be able to post pricing and such, but preorders will be starting in a couple weeks at which point I’ll publicaly announce pricing! Feel free to PM me if you’d like to be notified when it’s available for preorder or check this thread. They will come matte black as standard to match the factory spoiler, but there will be an option for OEM paint matching. Below are some photos I took this weekend as well as pics from Instagram that show more progress! Let me know what you guys think! Pics of it on a white BRZ coming very soon! This thread will eventually turn into the production process as i start to fill orders - which I can’t wait to do! For me this project is all about getting my BRZ to look a bit more agressive with tan OEM and tasteful looking wing and I think I was able to accomplish that. But you be the judge! The inner cores have been dyed Drambeenie Green! Can’t forget installation instructions! Designed by my lovely girlfriend. Last edited by Drambeenie; 10-17-2017 at 12:46 AM. |
