I don't much like what they've done with the reverse lights, either.

Oh no, someone has an opinion!!! That is against the rules!!!!

They made it far too stock looking, there is no need for that. The fake diffuser looks stupid on the stock car, and it looks worse here. You can make it look good for dirt cheap, exhaust tips aren't exactly high ticket items.

The GRMN engine (FA20-GR) has a different header (with sports cat, if i'm not mistaken), variable intake manifold, forged internals, ECU tuned to suit all those changes, resulting in 219ps. All combined with a 4.3 final drive and long ratios for 1st and 2nd (TRD option).

http://www.motortrend.com/news/u-s-t...-gr-sub-brand/

"U.S. TOYOTA TRD MODELS TO GET UPGRADES FROM GR SUB-BRAND"

"Enhancements will come stateside under TRD banner"

They don't specifically mention the 86. I read that the 860 was meant to gauge the desire for a luxury trim 86 model (BRZ Limited trim). A TRD 86 might be good to gauge the desire for, I should think, an 86 with the BRZ Performance Package, sans the luxury items found in the BRZ Limited, plus a body kit, new wheels, modded suspension, exhaust, etc.

I checked out Toyota Europe, and all of the GRMN Yaris has been reserved. I just don't think the Yaris is that popular here in the US to receive any GR/TRD treatment (and that's coming from someone who has owned two Yarii).

I like that they're doing it with the Prius V (Alpha in Japan). IU've driven the standard Prius V that my sister has, and it feels pretty big.

I just want an obnoxious single exhaust coming out my bumper and F1 Style brake lights everywhere, on everything. RACECAR.

Just to be clear, the stock car does NOT have a rear diffuser. It has a molded plastic lower bumper section that LOOKS like part of a diffuser.

Gone are the days of either buying a 1. NA sports car, durable , or 2. a sport tuned, Turbo model... yes more $, and usually more desired.

As an example the MK3 or MK4 Supra. That's the real roots. I get it, in todays market it's all about selling more units of cars, more options, more this... more that, hype (even with 911, as much as I like that sports car history/heritage , they offer that car in seveal model packages year to year, and prices can easily jump $10-25k at minimum). The days of building an overall quality car (not to say the FRS/ BRZ isn't quality, far from it) from the ground up, keeping it fairly simple, yet doing it right so that real Demand for the product will shine not just 2-3 years , but for the models life cycle (could be 5-7 years) don't seem to be returning anytime soon.
