Few niggles... any solutions?

So I've be an unofficial member for a good part of a year and some change. After stalking this site for a while, finally got the car! 2013 86 AT

I haven't had it for too long but I must say it puts a smile on your face. Right into the sore points:1. Space saver wheel - Toyota introduced the 2017 edition with a space saver (16x4). My assumption is that it will fit my 2013. Problem is tyres, I can't find a place in Gauteng that sells a 135/80/16. Continental said a 125/85/16 will fit and it's available. Is this true? Anyone know better? Is there other options you guys have come up with? The 17 inch Subaru space saver will have the same problem with tyres. 2. Flat boot liner? Where can I get this? Tried Afriboot no flat versions. I'm thinking the only option is a custom one. I stand under correction but there's an OEM 2017 flat boot cover but it's pricey.3. The dreaded back seat rattle - I can confirm the rattle is coming from the back seat locking mechanism. There's a loose plastic and metal piece causing the play, hence the noise. I've only seen reference to this issue in forums. No solution. Any ideas how to resolve this? I would think I need to put some foam in for the rear deck annoyances too - is this safe I.e. won't interfere with wiring? There could be a need to adjust the actual U latch also

No.3 I've told the dealership about and they've said to come in - I'm just worried I'll need to sell a kidney to pay for it.

Welcome. Yes that 125/85/16 will fit and get the job done if you ever need it.
As for the rear deck ratter the dealership will just stuff foam in between the rear deck and metal. It's should be a free fix since it has a tsb or what ever that word is. Pretty much Toyota is aware of that problem.

Welcome

What did Toyota quote you on that space saver wheel?
Have a look at a scrap yard for a 5x100 Subaru space saver, just make sure it clears the front calipers.

I got a neat boot liner of thick rubber that covers the wheel. Obviously doesn't take away the 'bump' in the boot, but it's covering the whole boot floor, so no worries about damaging the spare or anything else.

I think it's on the suppliers thread.

My understanding is a TSB will only be fixed (free of cost) under a warranty, I believe a recall is approached a bit differently. I hope I am totally wrong and all TSBs and recalls are covered for free with or without a warranty.

I'm pretty sure I saw ~R1200 for the 16x4 steel wheel only. Conti quoted R950 with fitment.

I am planning to call around for the Subaru 17inch 5x100.

I'm pretty sure the supplier is Afriboot -- They have good quality liners, only if they made a flat version. They import and not manufacture but they've made it quite easy for customers -- On Takealot
