It's no big deal and does not seem to affect on throttle behaviour, which in itself isn't perfect but I put that down to timing variations needed to protect the engine when it is operating so close to detonation limits all the time. A feature I expect of the very high compression ratio for a boosted engine.

Bear in mind that the idle map is completely separate from the on throttle mapping and runs very lean with pulled timing. Only when the engine is on throttle is the O2 sensor adjusting mixture. I do not think your description of idle dropping to 200-300 rpm is the way it should be. High idle, up to 1,800 rpm occasionally seems to be normal but the very low idle should not be happening.
It has been documented many times here that the idle control with the Edelbrock tunes seems to be poor, and it's not vacuum leak related. I had this issue for nine months from installation. I decided to try the Delicious Tune, primarily for a slightly more aggressive tune and it was immediate that the idle issues that plagued me were gone... completely. For $400, this was well worth the money and the attention and detail applied to refining the tune to my specific vehicle's needs was awesome.

I've had the edelbrock setup + Delicious tune + Delicious dbox for a year now and am tempted to go e85... but am wondering if it's worth the risk on a stock motor.

Are these motors safe with e85 and the edelbrock charger? Delicious advertises 330whp, and I've heard that's borderline with the stock rods -how many edelbrock + e85 guys we got running safely in here?

Opinions?

No track time on mine yet, but a few spirited canyon runs with that setup and no issues. Also running the JR oil cooler.

Thanks for the reply. What clutch are you using?

Didn't list my cooling mods, but I've got the JR dual rad setup + a vented hood. Will do track days with the car, but if I did go flex fuel I may just run 93 on the track for safety...

We have the exact same setup. I went with an ACT SB7 HDSS.

Not much different than stock other than reliability. I went with CSG's recommendation. That is what they ran on their JRSC build.

Any others in the forums running e85 + edelbrock on a stock bottom end? How many miles on the setup? Track days?

Worth the risk?

Running E85 here, stock engine. Got the necessary upgrades, FP and Injectors, to support and a DT FF Package.

Running about 6-7k miles now since I installed last year and not a single problem. *knock on wood*

No track days, stock clutch is not holding well in 4th, 5th, 6th. Like to start slipping around 4k. YMMV on this given the condition of your clutch.

Just going to report this, I blew a hole in my stock header with edelbrock superchager and delicious tune with D-box. No other engine performance mods at the time.

Interesting. I think an aftermarket header is the first thing I would install before going S/C

I wouldn't have gotten a good deal on an ACE A350 ceramic coated if I had done that. Also, I'm not one for a lot of noise, so I was enjoying my OEM Audio stereo setup.
