Really off topic, but can I spray my clutch pedal lever joint with lubricating spray?

It's squeaky when I engage it, and I can feel the lever rubbing whenever it gets close to the floor.

LOL, that collective buzzing boxer sound as they all took off from the starting line. Sounded like a horde of angry bumble bees.

From the other forum posts I've read about squeaky clutch, the sound is not coming from within the cabin.

Just embrace the squeak. Learn to love it.

LOL quite possibly. The car has spent a good chunk of its life on racetracks, with all the accompanying spins, offs into dirt and grass, and other mishaps. It'll probably never win any car show trophies, and I last washed it a few months ago... right now it's caked with bugs from the last drive to/from the racetrack. Oh yeah and the interior is coated with the fine dust of Buttonwillow's dirt...

I want to wash my car but I have to drive to LA next week. The front is going to be caked with bugs. 😫

It's weird, it's not just squeaky. I can literally feel friction as my clutch pedal gets close to the floor. It seems like the squeak comes from the metal on metal.

I might end up just taking it to the dealer since it's under warranty and the dealership is actually decent here.

I can feel that friction/grit sensation sometimes as well when it gets close to the floor. It comes and goes.

If you do take it in, let me know what they say.

Wash and then spray with Duplicolor temporary spray on clear bra? Or painter's tape? Might rain over the weekend tho.

Yup, went down to Torrance to get my Yaris. Luckily it was back in December so the bug count wasn't too bad. The drive tho...going to and back in one day was brutal.

Hey, I know that place. I used to live down there! Well, Redondo Beach.

But you are exactly right.

Curiosity got the best of me and I ordered an Audioquest Dragonfly Red. Been using the original 1.0 Dragonfly for the past several years. It'll be interesting to see if I notice a difference.
