No markups, paid MSRP with nothing added.

Pretty sure at this point the salesguy at the dealer I went to fucked me over. If anyone else picks one up from Napleton's, shoot me a PM.

evanston seems to be keeping the good reputation they've earned... and schaumburg keeping the poor one they've earned. over msrp i was going to consider walking into a scion dealership. although there seemed to be much more available a week ago, last i did a quick local cars.com search only one was left. looked to be asking more than msrp too.

We'll see how well they take care of me at this point, now that I have the car in hand. Dropped it off to fix the front bumper, and if they give me any grief about it I'm going to raise hell.

I called them out on charging me over MSRP when every other dealer in chicagoland (seemingly) isn't charging over MSRP, and they kinda floundered on the answer. Whatever though, it's done and over with at this point.

Nah, I pretty much figured that I'll be one of like, 3 people in the world who actually paid more than MSRP for one of these. They aren't getting a good review or survey from me, though. The salesperson I dealt with on the sale was a jackoff too, and not the guy I had been working with through the entire process.

they have always had a reputation for being shady. i actually got my sti there, for 28,900 (i think pre-tax? forgot) i didn't know anyone that ever got one cheaper. i mostly rode my brother's negotiating wave though, i think he got that quote but ended up going with a legacy gt, which i think he also got cheaper than anyone i knew. he is a pretty shrewd negotiator fo sho.

I tried to order from Gerald in Naperville on 3/1/12, but they laughed at my offer of MSRP. Told me $3 to $5K over, and they said they'd stick to their guns. I ordered from Grand in Bensenville, and got my car yesterday for MSRP, no shady dealings. Ended up 2nd on the list on 3/2/12.

Anyway, FWIW, I'd highly recommend Grand. Whatever crap they've gotten online, they seem honest and Bill the salesman is an autocrosser.
