You were stock and they still broke?!

The car wasn't even lowered?

Decent power. Was that the stock pulley and stock exhaust? I'd love to put that kind of power down with my TVS1320 and would be very happy to pay for replacement axles should they be required!

Yes, stock, but it's gone thru a number of hard launches for autoX and track days.

No, not lowered. The shop foreman kept trying to deny me because I was on coilovers, which were set to stock height. I had to drive home, grab a tape measure, grab the shop foreman and measure the ride height on a car they had on the floor to get it sorted.

Well it wasn't the axle. Somehow my hardware and bushing on the rear driver side control arm came undone 🤔

Sounds cheaper to fix than axles then?

Hopefully. I should get the full story tomorrow. Still going to purchase a DSS axle for the future.

When the control arm broke I was only at half e-85/91. I haven't even felt what she can do yet 💥🤤

There are at least 2 versions of Edelbrock factory tunes that I know of: original release tune and the later released CARB tune. Would a smog test station be able to tell whether or not it is flashed to the CARB tune?

As far as i know they dont even really care or check as long as they can see he sticker. Then they just run the OBDII reader and if it passes all its checks then you are good to go.

I could be wrong though...

I'm probably wrong...

My understanding is that the test station only checks for fault codes when doing the OBD2 check, so its not able to see the difference on tune. The CARB sticker is there so that the tech can correspond the EO number to the SC when doing a visual inspection.

Just ordered this for my 2013 BRZ. I'm happy with the OFT stage 1 tune I have, but I was planning on adding bigger port injectors and a catless header to the bottom of the car when I install it. I also notice it comes with its own TMAP and MAF sensors [I think I goofed when I ordered a 3 bar MAP sensor right away...]. I'm less sure about how this would affect the tune I have. Should I just message Shiv immediately before installing or (provided I flash the ECU with the right injector settings) or should my stage 1 tune work for a while?

I guess a more general form of the above is, what exactly gets affected in the CARB ECU tunes for this supercharger? Sensor settings? Ignition timings? Etc.?

Thanks. Is that a catted front pipe? Do you know what your numbers were on 91/93?

Catless dual resonated front pipe.

On 91 I was around

270whp 215ftlbs at 11psi (dynojet)

254whp 205ftlbs at 11 psi (mustang dyno)

Not entirely sure what you are trying to do here. I'll try to decipher.

-Are you working with Shiv on getting an OFT tune for the supercharger? I personally don't have an OFT but from what I know about it, your "stage 1" won't work. You will have to get a Edelbrock specific tune from Shiv.

-I don't know what tunes Shiv has given you, but I would hazard a guess he will have to adjust it if you are planning on using injectors and header. I would also guess that he can also tune it using either the TMAP that comes with the kit or any aftermarket MAP sensors. Again, you will have to get a custom tune from Shiv.

-The CARB tune is based on ECUtek and not OFT, so if you are trying to be CARB legal, you'll have to switch. As far as specific parameters? I have no idea.
