I would if I was worried but my real world experience has shown there is no need to spend that much money on oil for a DD.

There are people with performance cars with well over 100k that use dyno oil and just regular oil change intervals.

Just find a good oil and interval and stick with it.

Specifically that 0W30 is a thicker 30 grade since it meets Euro ACEA A3 specs. Similar to Belgian Castrol 0W30 except that BC only meets the older API SL spec.

Subaru Japan can recommend thicker oils because they don't have to worry about huge CAFE fines if their fleet doesn't meet minimum MPG standards. Tiny mpg differences by recommending thinner oils in the US can lead to big $$$$ for Subaru of America.
