Could you please talk me through your reasons for wanting twin scroll and also equal length headers for the manifold? I mean asking as I am looking at adding a turbo to my car but would prefer not to high mount the turbo. But being a right hand drive car I can't put it low and near the gearbox like yours. Which leaves 2 options. Low mount to the front with an unequal manifold or get creative and create a spaghetti like manifold to make it equal length.

Any of your input would be greatly appreciated
Actually, I came some cool videos just this past week. This guy does an excellent job explaining the benefits of an equal length header as well as an in depth look at what makes twin scroll turbos more efficient than a single scroll.

Stopped by @The Racers Line this weekend for a clutch install. I went with the ACT XT Street with the Velox clutch fork. Feels and drives like stock with a slightly heavier pedal. Neal did a great job with the install and the shop was a nice spot to hang out while work was being done.

Saw Neal's post about working on your car. Really wished I knew, would have loved to stop by and check out your work and pick your brain a little. The updates will just have to do I guess, keep it up!

How's that clutch so far? I'm planning on getting the same clutch along with flex fuel from Neal but I daily the car in some traffic.

Have about 500 miles on it now and its been great so far. It does get a bit jerky sometimes when starting uphill from a stop but other than that it drives like stock. No problems in traffic either. Even pulling a trailer lol.

Similar experience here. Every once in awhile in first I get some jerky engagement but it's rare and seems to only be when starting uphill. I have the lightweight flywheel which removed 13-14 pounds of rotating mass from the clutch/flywheel system (vs stock) and am happy with how the engine revs. I do get a bit of chatter at certain RPM though.

Looking forward to seeing/hearing more about the turbo with the upgraded spring .

Thanks,
Eric

I've been at only 6psi right now using the 12 psi spring but that should be able to be increased with tuning. The tune still needs a bit more work but @DeliciousTuning has been busy with Sema cars. Hopefully that's wrapped up and they can get back to this soon.

Today's addition. Definitely idles a bit better than with the lightweight crank pulley.

I only have about 600 miles on it post turbo but I haven't found anything mechanically that needs to be changed. Pretty happy with the finished product. Just a few more things to do like make an airbox, airbox ducting, and send the header, overpipe, and turbine housing to swaintech for ceramic coating. Making sure I don't need to make changes first though.. Also going to get the intercooler coated black for stealthness.

Have about 2,000 miles on it now and things are still looking good. Took it back apart last weekend to send all of the hot side parts to Swain Tech for coating.

Still struggling with boost control a bit but I think I have a pretty good solution for that using a servo actuator rather than a vacuum actuator. Will post up some pics of that project once it gets a bit further along.

While waiting for the hot components to come back from coating I figured I would do a bit of spring cleaning. I had an oil leak in the original sandwich plate I had that made a huge mess I could never fully clean. Its been bugging me so I broke out the toothbrush and went at it.

Painted the intercooler black to be a bit stealthier

And finally made tabs to mount the intercooler piping and intake. Still need to make an airbox though. Filter will be fed by a NACA duct in the hood.

I will have the hot side parts back from Swaintech on Monday.. Finally! It took about 5 weeks. I guess it was poor planning on my part to send the parts in the spring.

It's back together! The Swain Tech coating looks great right now, but man is that stuff impossible to work with and not get dirty. Between the color and texture it collects everything from your fingers. Probably won't take long before it's discolored and dirty in the car anyways. But I knew that going into this. The Swain Tech process caters more to function than aesthetics.
