Recently installed Eibach Sportlines and I'm very happy with them so far.
Everything is stock but the springs. I may want to correct the camber in the rear (which is at -2.3 both sides right now). The fronts are pretty much aligned to stock specs as is. |

Sportline Camber Bolts?
Eibach sportline owners, did you guys have to install aftermarket camber bolts as well? If so, where can i purchase them? Can i just buy any camber bolts at my local parts store?

resurrecting this. If anyone can help i would appreciate it a lot!
I've purchased a eibach sportlines package which includes camber bolts and LCA's.. I also have KR1's, 18x9.5 +35 offset. Would 245 40 work without any issues?... I'm pretty new to all this! Thanks in advance!

1. Camber bolts wouldn't relieve the poke? 2. What do you think of running 235 40 instead? the 1.5" drop the sport lines provide would be perfect for my DD.

2. With a 235/40 tire, you shouldn't have any clearance issues, but your speedo will be off by about 3% (when your speedo reads 60 MPH, you will actually be going 61.8 MPH). For comparison, a 245/35 tire would only off by 0.5% (when speedo reads 60 MPH, you will actually be going 60.3 MPH). Your original size of 245/40 would throw the speedo off by 4.3% (when your speedo reads 60 MPH, you would actually be going 62.6 MPH). These are all when compared to the stock setup. You can have this re-calibrated (I believe) if you choose to go with either "40" section tire, or just leave it as it is. Just know that you will be going slightly faster than your speedo will read. FWIW I am running 18x8.75 +33 wheels with 245/35/18 tires on Eibach Pro-Kit and have no issues. I love the setup honestly. (Picture attached for reference) Hope this helps. -J.B. |

I think im gonna go with 235/40 on my 18x9.5 +35..
Does anyone know if camber will even be needed with the eibach sportlines on this setup... If not im just gonna return them and just get the springs by itself..

FR: -1.5* FL: -1.5* RR: -2.3* FL: -2.5* You need to get camber bolts in order to adjust the front, but they're only like $40 so I think it's worth it. There is no way to adjust camber in the rear in stock form, so without buying LCA's you will be stuck with whatever natural camber comes with the drop. LCA's weren't worth the money for me as I DD my car and -2.5* isn't that terrible in the rear. No uneven tire wear or anything like that. 2. Will camber be needed? Camber is going to happen one way or another when you lower your car. The question should be whether adjustment components will be needed, and that is kinda up to you. On Sportlines, you will probably be around -3.0* of camber in the rear naturally with a 1.5" drop without any adjustment. Do you NEED to dial out that camber? Probably not, I still don't think you would see uneven tire wear or anything like that. If you do want to adjust however, you will have to buy LCA's. Camber bolts for the fronts should get you enough camber to alleviate any poke created by your wide wheels/offset combo, and I think you will be fine in the rear. I'll attach a picture in a little bit of what the poke looks like on my setup front and rear. -J.B. |
