I may also paint the system black to keep with the 'stealth' look on my car. Fingers crossed it isn't too quiet.
Or you can buy an axleback from them to keep price down
stock midpipe (resonator) is pretty good to keep rasp/drone down.

How is the volume? Tone? Drone?

Thanks for keeping us updated. Would love a
Video clip!

@tinma: Which header. Chatted or no?

@OP. Have you considered using OFT or similar aftermarket tune to eliminate the high overlap valve timing during cold start?

I hate to admit it....but I have the OFT and no personal laptop to try and play with that (IT for work and I have two laptops for my job). I wish there was a service, where I could send my OFT and have it flashed with a 93 octane tune and this overlap valve timing you speak of.

Quick update.

After measuring my Berk Catted Front pipe and discovering it to be 2.25", I am going to ditch the front pipe and catback and do the full, xforce, 3" system with the cat.

I am curious the noise level, but we will see. I will make a separate thread and report back!

Did you ever get a chance to upload the clip? Considering this with my Corsa but want to hear it first. Thanks!

Hi,

I just ran into your thread and saw what you were choosing between. I actually run a Gruppe-S UEL Header (Similar to Tomei UEL), stock OP, stock FP, and a magnaflow catback.

I don't have a youtube vid handy, but if you find instagram for tedders_frs, I have a video of my car on a dyno with that exact same setup if you wanna hear. Of course, it could be skewed by my phone's microphone. It's one of the older videos on my account. You could just send me a PM later and I'll try to upload a video if you want.

I have the corsa cat and tomei uel. I love my corsa cat, no drone at all and it keep the burble real deep and not to ricey. Its also nice because you can keep it fairly quiet if you need to with low rpms. I would go corsa especially if you want something quieter then what you have.

If you had a video link, that would be great. With cold weather here already, my car is getting so damn loud on startup.
