Swirls...

Hey Everyone,

I have a black FR-S and i have some noticeable swirls on the hood... I waxed it the day after i got it with Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax... I do not notice any swirls anywhere else on the car... just the damn hood. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks for your time!

Depends on how deep the swirls are. You can take it in to the dealer and see if they can buff out the swirls and hope they don't mess it up more. Or call a pro detailer and let them buff the swirls out.

I also have a Raven and I knew it would be a pain to maintain. It's going to inevitably have swirls so I just accepted that fact for now. However, I do plan on taking it to the detailer to get it corrected and then get the car opti-coated at the same time. I've read several reviews on the benefits of opti-coating your car, especially if its black like ours.

Wax wont remove swirls, only polishing will.

Cars looks like crap straight from the dealer. It's really disappointing. Get a pro to give the paint a full detail in order to start your car off right.

This is how the paint should look when you take a brand new car home:

But dealership detailers are all about "close enough"
