Haha. Oh I do know what needs to be done but 3 boys ages 2 to 9 and a 4th that is about here and has put momma on strict bed rest doesn't leave me time to keep an engine bay clean (not white glove inspection clean like yours).

Maybe one of the nicer spring days when the Ohio and the Midwest gets its act together.

Changed out my OEMs to HKS today...I'm in the middle of a bunch of installs so I had removed a lot of what was necessary to do the FSM method anyway... so I went with it. Well, kind of... there were a few things I did different but close enough..

Here are some pics from my install...

The Bottle Jack was great for this swap. My 86 is currently on jacks (14" off ground) so I was able to place the bottle jack on the ground... Luckily I hoarded a bad axle from the landing gear of a C550 because I used it to extend the jack while maintaining a solid jacking point.

I was able to torque the plugs and coil packs... the FSM method really made the swap almost frustration free.

Engine lifted on the passenger side...

You could see the work space created with the engine angled in these pics...

Almost took care of business today... All I have left to do before beginning on the provisions for my supercharger is place my exhaust manifold and torque down my exhaust system.

Had to do this before installing the exhaust manifold... might pick up some more for the over pipe. The pictured sheet came with the HKS exhaust manifold.

I finished up my exhaust system installation today...I tried to finish yesterday but I was destroyed by mosquitos... lol

I will finally begin the provisions for my HKS supercharger pro kit v3 installation!

I received my Beatrush air intake duct on Monday...I will know soon if I will be able to use it in conjunction with my supercharger. If I am able to, it will more than likely be because I modified it.

This thing is beautiful!

I did not reinstall the factory overpipe heatshield after polishing it... I just layed down some more heat barrier...

Finished polishing the supercharger bracket... I was back and forth about whether to polish, powder coat, or paint the bracket... glad I polished it...

I'm not done polishing though... I still have some hardware and perhaps even the idler pulley and alternator to do...

I would've gotten more done today but I couldn't stop binging on The Flash... lol I also had a birthday party to go to.... anyway

Here is some polished hardware from my HKS v3 supercharger

Before on the right, after on the left

I started some of the provisions necessary for the HKS v3 supercharger install today...

nicked it a bit... but thats okay because I'm going to polish it anyway. Rounded off all corners.

Sanded down the nick then polished the area to see how it is going to look.

I completed a few more provisions today... I spent most of the day mocking up, testing, then fabricating brackets. This is necessary in my install because of my Beatrush front beam brace.

I'm pretty far along on two more brackets... I hope to have them completed tomorrow.

I was able to complete this bracket for the traction fluid cooler today. I just have to paint the brackets gloss black and clear coat them.

painted and cleared...

Temp installed...

Drilled an M6 hole...

Ready to be mounted...

Installed...
